I thought i would take a few minutes and share some thoughts on Pearl Harbor, It is an amazing feeling returning to U. S. waters. On 30 september 2008 we pulled into Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. It is always a humbling experience to pull down the same harbor that the "Attack on Pearl Harbor" Happened on 7 December 1941, It is always interesting to see the reaction and the somber mood that unmistakably happens to me and my fellow sailors as we pull into the port of pearl harbor. I find my self reflecting how it must have been on the sunday morning how sad it is to think of the U. S. lives lost the hurt and pain that the attack must have caused countless, mothers, fathers, children, and Grandmas and Grandpas. I am honored to serve in the United States Navy to carry on or be a small part of the tradition. I can only hope that I live my life and serve in a manner that would make a sailor or two that lost everything in the attack feel as though the things they lost were not in vain. " my heart and prayers go out to the heros of December 7th 1941.
